The comfy baby recliner known as "Nap Nanny" was slapped with a lawsuit by federal regulators Wednesday after the company wouldn't agree to a recall.
5 infants died and several otherr were injured while in the Nap Nanny, forcing The Consumer Product Saftey Commission to demand a recall by the makers of Nap Nanny, Baby Matters.
Scott Wolfson, a spokesman for CPSC says "the risks include infants falling out of the product and becoming wedged between the sides of the crib and the mattress. In some cases, the harness failed to keep babies from falling out if the product tipped over." Adding, "Parents are placing (the Nap Nannies) inside cribs and there have been tragic situations when they tipped over."
