Michelle Obama, Kim Kardashian, Jay-Z, and a bunch of other celebrities got hacked this week, and their financial information was posted online. Which has everybody even more worried than usual about identity theft.
So in case it ever happens to YOU, here are the three things you have to do immediately, according to "USA Today".
Three Things You Should Do If You Get Hacked
#1.) Call Your Bank and Your Creditors. Obviously that's first on the list. And you should also get a copy of your credit report online to see if there's anything suspicious.
#2.) Scan and Update Your Computer. Do a scan to make sure you don't have a virus. Then make sure you have the latest version of whatever operating system your computer runs on, because running an old version can make you more vulnerable.
#3.) Change Your Passwords. If you're like most people, you use the same one for a bunch of different websites. So for example, if your email gets hacked and you use the same password on Facebook and Twitter, change them all.
